When these moms saw how much fun their kids were having in their hockey league, they decided to form their own team called the Hipchix and hit the ice for a weekly game. "When we first started I think we were all shocked that it was as hard as it was," says Kari, a 38-year-old mother of three.

After their games, she and her teammates are left with pains in their neck, back and feet.
