"I know this sounds crazy but I really want to marry myself," says Gayle. "I have a full life, I have lots of friends, but I decided that if I wasn't married by the time I was 50 that I was going to marry myself. Lo and behold, here it is: I'm turning 50 and I'm marrying myself."

So after years of celebrating all of her friends' engagements, weddings and baby showers, now it's her turn. And it's payback time! "Part of the commitment to be in my wedding is wearing the bridesmaids' dress that each of my friends made me wear in their wedding," she says. And they even have to wear the dresses on national TV!

Rachael wants to know, "If you do meet a man, are you going to have to tell him you're off the market because you're married to you?"

"I would welcome a man into my life, but in the meantime there's nothing wrong with being 50 and single and doing your thing," says Gayle. "I'm celebrating me, I'm celebrating making a commitment to myself, taking care of myself for richer or poorer ... It's important to celebrate your life no matter how old we are and whether you're married or not."
