"The Rachael Ray of India"

Talk about the show

"We have had tons of amazing chefs on the show, you know Bobby Flay and our buddy Rocco DiSpirito and Paula Deen, but there is somebody who has sold more cookbooks than any of of those people and that person is seen by 300 million viewers worldwide!" says Rachael, as she introduces the guy known as the "Rachael Ray of India" for his no-fuss approach to the kitchen. "It is definitely flattering when I get compared to Rachael Ray," Indian chef Sanjeev Kapoor says. "We always like [it] if somebody compares you with somebody who is so huge!"

Like Rachael, Sanjeev loves E.V.O.O. and Dancing with the Stars, and has gained a strong following for his cooking shows, cookbooks and products by sticking to a simple credo: "If you keep things simple, people love that," he says. " I learned pretty early that the show's not for me ... it's for the people who are going to learn from it." And, he keeps it so simple that Rachael invites Sanjeev to take the lead in her kitchen to create a 1-minute meal - Tangy Tomato Shrimp Pulao!
