What's a long day at work like for veteran actress Joan Allen? The star of all three Bourne thrillers, who also snagged Oscar nominations for Nixon, The Contender and The Crucible, gives Rachael a recap of her typical day. "I'll like e-mail my sister, 'Guess what I did today? I spent three hours kissing Daniel Day Lewis!'" Joan laughs. Rachael doesn't have much pity for this hard-working mother of one. "Another rough day at the office," she shoots back.

Joan also worked with Kevin Costner in The Upside of Anger, which had him sharing the screen with a predominantly female cast. "He was so outnumbered. There was so much estrogen around him ... four teenage daughters," Joan says. "And he was such a good sport and I think he did such an amazing job in that film." But nothing may top the star she's working with in her next project -- Richard Gere. "Hard to go to work in the morning," Joan jokes. "Somebody has to do it."

She turned to some powerhouse female stars for her latest movie, Bonneville, which has her hitting the road with Cathy Bates and Jessica Lange. "It's kind of a character study of their relationship and my character is sort of buttoned down," she explains. But in real life Joan is more laid back when she travels. "I once did the trip from Los Angeles to New York ... the road trip, and not rushing either, driving six or seven hours a day so you could land in a little town in Oklahoma and go to the local movie theater that night and eat in a local restaurant."
