If Republican presidential candidate John McCain makes his way to the White House, there will be a lot more cooking in that huge backyard. "We will have a grill," he tells Rachael. "And at Camp David we'll have a grill, and I guarantee it, nobody but me is going to do the grilling." His wife Cindy McCain agrees that they don't have a "grill democracy" in their home, but it's for a good reason. "The reason why I love to grill -- it's a social occasion," Senator McCain says. "It's one of my main sources of enjoyment."

These days, he and his wife are far from their grill, spending more time sampling regional foods on the campaign trail. Some of their favorites include Philly cheesesteaks and New York's classic lunch. "I like to go around down in Times Square, down to the delis down there, they have some of the best sandwiches you'll ever eat," Senator McCain says. "That shows you my level of gourmet sophistication!"

Rachael then invites the McCains to head into the kitchen for the senator's Slow Cooked Baby Back Ribs. He offers up his personal strategy for varying the recipe with a hint of hickory. "Take some chips, soak them overnight," he advises. "Put them in a little aluminum foil, put them also on the grill and the smoky flavor will go all around."

The presidential candidate also says he keeps the meat moist by squirting on some lemon, and when it comes to seasoning, don't be shy. "Don't worry about too much," he suggests. "You can never put too much seasoning on."

Rachael reminds all her viewers that she previously spent the afternoon with Michelle Obama, and the Obamas have an open invitation to join her at the kitchen table as well. No matter what your political views, Rachael says enthusaiastically, "It's good to be an American!"
