Amanda Peet and John Cusack have worked on three films together, Identity, Martian Child and now 2012. They are now close enough to joke around and lovingly praise each other, but their first introduction was challenging for Amanda. "I couldn't speak! It was terrible," says Amanda, about the star she admired in the hit 80s film Say Anything. "I think I watched it probably like 10 times!"

It's been 20 years since John's now-famous scene holding a boom box blasting Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" outside his girlfriend's window. "It seems a little strange that I got this old!" he jokes. "I didn't expect it."

His latest movie is about the end of the world on the date 12/12/12. "In a way it's sort of a retelling of Noah's ark," John explains. His co-star Amanda chimes in and says, for her, the best part of this action flick was something more personal. "It was really fun to work with John again," she says. "The third time's a charm!"
