With several multi-platinum albums and nine Grammy awards under her belt, Mary J. Blige has truly earned the title "queen of hip-hop soul." But as she tells Rachael, even a "queen" can lose her cool, especially when performing in front of the then president-elect and his wife! "That was the biggest moment for me," Mary says about her performance at the We Are One concert a few days before Barack Obama's inauguration. "I was shaking before I went out and I was shaking while I was performing and that's normally not like me. And Michelle Obama looked over at me and gave me this look like, 'You'd better not be nervous! You'd better sing this song, girl!'"

When Mary married record producer Kendu Issacs in 2003, she gained not only a husband but also a family. Mary tells Rachael what she's learned from Kendu's children. "Confidence," she says. "To be sure of myself because they're very sure of themselves. And to just be loose and free, and just let life be life." But Mary says that the kids are very picky when it comes to food. "They don't like any sauces, any mayonnaise, any ketchup. They just like chicken and bread, dry. They're pretty much like their dad."

Rachael asks Mary to share her latest beauty tips. "Lately," she says, "I have been pampering myself with scrubs and exfoliating -- just giving myself a pampering at home." Rachael exclaims, "Whatever you scrubbed off it worked out well because you look good!" With the help of Lisa Price, president and founder of Carol's Daughter body care company, Mary shows Rachael how to make one of the products she uses, a grapefruit and lemon grass body scrub. "I've been on the hunt for this stuff forever," Mary says about the Carol's Daughter products in which she invests. "This stuff is my pampering -- it makes me feel very good."
