Ringo Starr
It's a daytime exclusive when Ringo Starr comes by the set and gives a rare performance! But first, Rachael wants to know if he's as good in the kitchen as he is on the guitar. "I make my own pesto," Ringo says, and admitting that's where his menu ends. "I don't do a lot of cooking. I can bake a really great potato and that's about it."
He's still hard at work as a musician and returned to his roots invoking his hometown for his new album Liverpool 8, collaborating with Dave Stewart for the title track. "We've met over the years and he had the idea of this song, this mini autobiography of what I did," Ringo says. "To do it in a song you've got to cover the years really quick."
With all the top name musicians this drummer has worked with, one special highlight includes hitting the stage with his son Zac Starkey. "I put him in one of my All Starrs once and that was so great because we're the two drummers in the band -- and you look over and it's your son," Ringo says. Since then his son has made it big with some other top acts. "He's drumming with The Who, but he's also with the English band Oasis. He's just made a record with them ... I'm really proud and the good news is -- your boy is working!"
