Rupert Everett, actor and author of Red Carpets and Other Banana Skins: The Autobiography, describes his new book as "the sweetest kiss and tell." He explains, "It's affectionate. I didn't want to write a book that was just tearing people to shreds. I thought, if there wasn't something nice to say about people, don't bother to say it, really."

In addition to his stories about growing up in England, Rupert writes about his experiences working with actresses like Julie Andrews, Sharon Stone and Madonna. "When she came in, the whole room stood still," Rupert says of Madonna. "It was extraordinary. I've never seen anyone actually, before or since, who had so much presence and charisma."

A vegetarian for the last several years (Rupert explains: "I really like cows, that's my main problem. I go on holiday every year to Switzerland and I go walking in the mountains and I meet tons of cows. And they're so lovely -- they're as nice as dogs."), Rupert helps Rachael make Curried Winter Vegetable Soup.
