Sara Ramirez
She's landed roles on the stage and television, but just how far would Grey's Anatomy star Sara Ramirez go for a role? Rachael asks the brunette what she would eat if she was asked to gain 20 pounds for a performance. "I already did that and I was not asked to do it," Sara jokes. "Chips, cookies, pizza, pasta, cake ... I like it all, I love food." Although she doesn't spend as much time in the kitchen as she might like, Sara says, "I actually wish I cooked more, but I would always get really intimidated and overwhelmed by things like, 'well I have to have that utensil, and that machine.'"
Rachael asks Sara about her Tony award winning role on Broadway in Spamalot. Sara says the experience was one of the highlights of her life and helped launch her career. "From that gig came Grey's Anatomy so it's been unbelievable. I am like the luckiest girl in the world," Sada gushes. "I love playing Callie and to get to work with these amazing artists in the show and the writers and everything – it's unbelievable. I'm having the time of my life."
As the other doctors in the show's fictitious Seattle Grace hospital sneak around having illicit affairs, Sara is proud to say she's not in that crowd. "I'm a faithful wife on the show, that's the good news." Still, there may be some trouble ahead for this doctor as her position as chief resident is challenged. "It's not been easy and I think it's going to keep getting difficult and she's dealing with Bailey sort of wanting that position and being upset that she didn't get it, so something's going to go down," Sara says. "Cat fights everywhere!"
"Have you ever been in a real life rumble?" Rachael asks. "Actually," Sara admits, "in seventh grade in the locker room I did have a little conflict if you will -- it was not pretty. I'm definitely not much of a fighter anymore. I want to talk it out."
