"Stump the Rach" with John Henson

From Talk Soup to Wipeout, John Henson has made a nice career of poking fun at people. "Apparently, I’m the go-to-guy to humiliate people on national television," he laughs. "I don’t know why, but it’s my little niche; my job is to watch people fall down and laugh!" John says that it never ceases to amaze him how many people want to put themselves through the rigorous Wipeout obstacle course. "I don’t understand," he says. "I feel like looking at them and going, 'You’ve seen the show, right? You know what’s gonna happen!'”

John admits that the contestants on the show aren't the only ones who have experience wiping out. "I went down pretty hard in LA last year," he recalls. "There was a rainstorm and I was with a buddy of mine in town, and there was like a river right before the sidewalk and I had to leap it. I was wearing loafers and I went down so hard! There were about 20 people waiting under an awning until the rain broke, and you can hear people go, 'Ohh!' for me. I got up and as I’m walking in I heard somebody go, 'Dude, the guy from Wipeout just wiped out!'”
