With the 2010 Winter Games in full swing, former Olympian Summer Sanders is reporting live from British Columbia with the latest on the Olympic fever that is sweeping the world. "Whistler is the place to be!" she beams via Skype. Rachael asks the gold medal-winning swimmer about her favorite moment of the games so far. "Getting to see one of those gold medals up close," Summer says. "I've seen a few, but these are spectacular! They're huge and so heavy and they have incredible waves to them."
Summer tells Rachael that she watched some of the skiing events from the Swiss house, and was struck by the overwhelming support for all of the competitors. She recalls, "We noticed that every time a skier went down the hill, whether or not they finished or finished last or didn't finish at all, [the crowd] all clapped for every single skier and that's just what you do here - you just celebrate sport and everyone coming together."
Plus, Summer gets exclusive look at what it takes to feed not only the Olympic athletes, but also their families and fans! Then, she shares a meal with gold medalist Hannah Kearney, and shows off her egg scramble recipe to the chef at Casa Italia, the Italian pavilion!
