Sweat-Proof Makeup
With the sweltering days of summer in sight, Rachael brings in beauty maven Jen Falik to share some products and tips to keep you sweat-proof and looking cool. "These products stay on and work wonders," says Jen.
"Physicians Formula makes a really great foundation that's talc-free so it doesn't get chalky and clump up," says Jen. "The company uses silicone instead of talc so it creates more of a barrier on your face and keeps the makeup smooth. The sponge is also anti-bacterial which could help prevent breakouts."
Absorb By142 is a lotion that absorbs 200 times its weight in water. Jen advises using it for sweaty palms, forehead, behind your knees and anywhere else you don't want people to see you sweat.
"Stainiac is a great lip and cheek color for everyone and as your summer tan progresses, this color will work with it," says Jen. "It's water-based so it doesn't come off. I even tested it out and wore it to the gym and in the shower and the color is still there. But remember, a little goes a long way."
Jen's got a sweat-proof tip that will save your feet and shoes from slipping and sliding. "When your bare feet get sweaty in your shoes, spray the bottom of the shoe with hairspray. Let it dry a little and put your shoe back on," advises Jen. "The hairspray makes the heel tacky so it doesn't move around. It'll keep your shoes on your feet and give you a spring in your step."
