Ted Danson

The last time Ted Danson dropped by, Rachael didn't immediately recognize him, which left the two-time Emmy®-winner feeling a little dissed. So for his return to the show, she makes sure the actor is given a royal welcome. The elevator is decorated with mood lighting, signs declaring "Welcome" and "We Missed You Ted," along with a classical pianist and snacks. "I have to say this is a little bit more like it," Ted says. "Thank you!"

It's been 16 years since Ted starred in Cheers, and he's suddenly finding himself tuning in for the repeats. "I get to see my friends!" he says. "Rhea [Pearlman], [John] Ratzenberger, they're so fun. I have no idea who the tall guy with dark hair is," he jokes about seeing a younger version of himself. "It's so far gone from my experience now that I can enjoy it."

Rachael is a huge fan of the FX hit Damages and is eager to find out what's in store for Ted's character. "He's coming back," Ted says reassuringly. "He's finding religion, which is funny. The narcissist decides to go the Zen route and that's always good for a laugh."

When Ted isn't busy acting on Damages, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and an upcoming HBO show called Bored to Death, he is an active environmentalist who works with the international group Oceana. He's particularly concerned with food safety, so he offers a simple tip for when you grocery shop. "The FDA has a ruling that it has to post what fish is healthy for you to eat, what doesn't have too much mercury in it for you," he explains. "So when you go to a supermarket and go to the fish place where you buy your fish, ask them to see it, because it's very important. We're putting too many bad things in ourselves and it's there for you to read. Be educated."

Rachael praises his knowledge and says, "Isn't he one stop shopping? He's smart, funny, a good actor. Please come back any time!"
