As a "Desperate Housewife," a producer, writer, and a model for the new Badgley Mischka campaign, Teri Hatcher's got a pretty full plate, but she says she makes the most time for job #1 -- being there for her nine-year-old daughter Emerson. Teri tells Rach that the two of them recently took a trip to sharpen their culinary skills. "We went to a cooking school in Italy," she says, "and we learned to cook every morning between 10 and 1, then we'd eat what we made and then lie by the pool the rest of the day -- it was so great!"

Teri shares a kitchen tip when it comes to overripe bananas. "I put them in my freezer if I don't have time to cook with them. Emerson will go in there to get ice cream and there'll be like 20 blackened bananas in there!" Teri says she uses the bananas for more than making banana bread. "I use bananas for the base for pumpkin bread and cranberry bread. We do a lot of bread and muffin making."

Rachael compliments the single mother on her relationship with her daughter. "You guys have this wonderful, warm relationship," Rach says. "You're like a really groovy mom; you don't seem like a desperate housewife at all!"

"Just in the men department!" Teri jokes. "Oops, did I say that out loud? Where's the fondue?"
