Thanksgiving Decorations with Evette
Rachael demonstrates how to have the easiest Thanksgiving dinner ever. But what about dressing up your table? No need to stress out -- Evette Rios shows you how to make the easiest (and coolest) Thanksgiving decorations ever!
Cinnamon Stick Mirror and Votive Candle Holders
Using a glue gun or double-stick tape, place cinnamon sticks around the edge of an old mirror frame to create a beautiful, aromatic and festive decorative mirror or serving tray. Add some spice to your votive candles by wrapping them with cinnamon sticks (again using glue or double-stick tape). You can tie a bow around the candle holders with a bit of twine you might have around the house. Not only will the candles look festive, but the heat from the candles also releases more of the cinnamon scent into the air.
Floral Design Wine Glasses
Festive and uniquely fall, chrysanthemums can be used to create beautiful wine glass markers. Cut a few flowers off of the bouquet leaving about 1.5" of stem. Bunch your flowers up and use 2" of floral stick (also known as floral putty -- available at floral shops) to adhere the bunch to the stem of the glass. You can tie a ribbon around the bunch if you want to hide some of the floral stick. Place the glasses on the mirror tray -- now your guests will each have a taste of fall close to their lips!
Fall-themed Centerpiece
A glass cake stand and dome can be used as a simple holiday centerpiece. Turn the dome upside-down and fill it with pinecones, fall leaves, nuts and small yellow and orange holiday ornaments. Place the stand on the dome and flip it right-side up. Then add some fall leaves or stalks of wheat around the base of the cake stand to finish the look.
