Thanksgiving Throwdown!
Donna and Madison made it through the Disney World and Ellis Island challenges, and survived the tough judging of chef Rocco DiSpirito. Now it all comes down to one final event to see who will become the next Hey, Can You Cook?! champion -- the Thanksgiving Throwdown!
Rachael explains that part one of the challenge will test their skills for the big day in three areas they will need to prepare a traditional holiday meal:
• Pie crust rolling. In order to continue on to the next station, the contestants must roll one pie crust, transfer it to a 9-inch pie plate, and press it into the sides with the dough hanging over the edges. Rach's prep kitchen staff will make sure the dough is rolled evenly with no tears.
• Butternut squash preparation. Donna and Madison must each peel one large squash, clean out the seeds, chop it into 2-inch chunks and transfer them into a baking dish until they have covered it in an even layer. There can't be peel on any one piece.
• Dressing a turkey. The final, and most important task, calls for the contestants to stuff a turkey with 8 cups of stuffing -- one cup must go in the front cavity, the rest in the back, and there must be no spillage. Then they must tie the legs together with kitchen twine.
The first contestant to complete all three tasks to the satisfaction of Rachael's prep kitchen staff will gain an advantage in the final cookoff!
