Gretta is not just discovering the joys of motherhood, this new mom is also finding some amazing new trends to make parenting easier and more fun! "I feel like I'm in a new club," she raves, "It's the coolest thing!" She's sharing her favorite tips to make your first year of parenting a breeze!

Professional newborn photos: "We all know baby photography is huge," Gretta says, "Now, it's really all about getting that [professional] shot in the first week of birth." And, if you want to get an appointment, plan ahead. "Some of these photographers are booking up - when you get pregnant you have to call!"

The 1st birthday picture: Everyone wants that adorable picture of their baby with their first birthday cake smudged all over their face and Gretta says some moms have found a way to be sure they'll get it. "There's actually [photo] studios that you can go to, you bring your cake, you bring your kid," says Gretta, "you sit down and you make sure that you get this picture! And the trend is that mommies send these out as postcards. Isn't that the cutest?"

Family website: If you've got family out of town and want to share videos and photos of your new bundle of joy in a private and secure way online, Gretta suggests a password-protected website that you can update all the time. "A lot of people put things on YouTube and there's nothing wrong with that, but if you just want it for family and friends this is a cool way to do it."

Mommy business cards: "This is a mommy calling card!" Gretta says. You can print it on your home computer and include your name and your child's so when you meet other moms at classes or daycare you can give them a card so they know how to reach you for your next play date!

Baby massage: Aimeesbabies.com is one of the ways you can learn massages for babies, and you can even download the app for your phone so you have the tips handy. "This helps with colic, sleeping ... and believe me, you will do whatever it takes to get them to sleep!"
