Trudie Styler is a busy actress, activist, producer and mom, but she tells Rachael that it took over a decade of dating Sting before she could add wife to her list of roles. The turning point was a frank question from their 6-year-old son. "He came home [from school] once and said, 'Mama, is it true I'm a bastard? I said, 'Goodness me! No, that's your dad!'" she jokes. "On that, Sting very kindly popped the question and we've been married very happily for 17 years."
Yoga has been an integral part of Trudie and Sting's life for the last 20 years, and now you can follow her routine at home with Warrior Yoga, a DVD that covers a sequence of movements from the Ashtanga practice. "Women are natural warriors," explains Trudie about the title. "More so today when we're called upon to do so many things. We don't just look after kids; we have to look great, be great for our husbands, our partners; we have to work ... we're on the battlefield of life." Trudie explains that a portion of the DVD's proceeds go toward UNICEF's Ecuador Water Project, the effort to bring clean, safe drinking water to 30,000 people who have been left without fresh water possibly due to the poor drilling practices of an oil company.
