TV's Favorite Moms
When Rachael needs some qualified judges for the Mother's Day "Hey, Can You Cook?!" challenge, she calls in the experts -- the mothers from three of TV's most classic shows: Florence "The Brady Bunch" Henderson, Shirley "The Partridge Family" Jones and Marion "Happy Days" Ross. With a combined 20 years of successful television shows under their belts, Florence explains why their shows continue to live on. "The Brady Bunch has never been off the air in this country, and it's in like 122 countries around the world," she tells Rachael. "I think young parents want their children to watch shows like that."
Known for playing squeaky clean roles, Rachael asks if the women can give up some dirt about themsleves that people would be shocked to hear. "I was so nice on Happy Days, all day long at work," Marion admits. "But as soon as I would come home, I would stand in the front door and scream, 'Get everybody out!' And little kids would be running out!"
Shirley reveals that her favorite role was in 1960's Elmer Gantry. "I won an Academy Award for playing a prostitute. I mean, that was the best!"
"I taught her everything she knows!" Florence jokes. So what does Mrs. Brady have to confess? "I was Carol Brady for all those years," she says, "and to tell you the truth, there are too many dark secrets to tell you ... I'm saving it for the book!"
