A Valentine's Day Surprise Proposal

"The minute I met Ashley, I thought she was a gorgeous girl and I just wanted to get to know her," says John. "I had the butterflies in the stomach type of thing pretty much every time we went out. Now there's times that I still get that and it's been 4 and 1/2 years!"

They had decided to put off their engagement because John is deploying to Iraq with the National Guard, but the thought of being separated changed his mind. "That made me realize how important she is," he says sweetly. "I want to make this Valentine's Day as special as I can!" So he contacted the show to see if he could propose to Ashley in our studio! "I want to give her the best present that I could give her before I go - Rachael Ray - she's wanted to meet her since she was 12!"

When they arrive, Ashley thinks just being here is her gift ... but John has much more up his sleeve!
