Don't throw away those old ties or sweaters! Evette Rios shows you crafty ways to repurpose them into fashionable items for your home and wardrobe.

Tie-Back Chair. Spice up an old chair by weaving colorful neckties through the slats on the back. Five or six ties should cover the back, but Evette warns, "You may not want to use your dad or husband's good ties!"

Bathroom rug. Cut bath towels into short strips that you can thread through the holes in a rug canvas (available here). Once you've filled the canvas, you have a new soft shag rug! Try mixing and matching colors to match your bathroom.

Sweater boots. Cut the sleeves off of that sweater you no longer wear and stretch the cut end over the top of a shoe or slipper. Attach it using a hot glue gun and trim away any excess. Cover any visible ugly seams with black ribbon and you've got a stylish new pair of boots!

Only online! Evette has two more tips for you, including one for fashionable moms!
