Frustrated that your latest fashion purchase isn't wowing your man? Whether it's your new oversize sweater or sheepskin boots, Dan Abrams says you might be playing to the wrong crowd. "Women are treating it like it's a trend," he explains. "The hottest new thing you have to have. And it may be ... to impress your female friends!" Dan, whose Styleite website breaks down the world of fashion the way his Mediaite site assesses the latest breaking news stories, reveals what men really think about your fashion choices ... but might be too afraid to tell you!

Oversize sweaters Dan says, "If a woman is wearing an oversize sweater because she thinks it's really comfy and just wants to wear it at home or wherever, great. From my perspective, it's not fitted, it doesn't show off anything, it's just a sort of big, baggy cover-up item."

Big sunglasses Dan admits that the big sunglasses look can work on a few people, but the problem is that they look like they're a big effort. "It looks like you're trying to look really, really great with these sunglasses," he says. "But it feels like you're hiding your eyes or covering up your face."

Sheepskin boots "There's not a specific problem with them," Dan says. "All I'm saying is I don't remember any guy ever saying to me, 'You know, I went out with this woman the other day and she looked so great because she had on this amazing dress and these Uggs to die for!"

Cleopatra Hair Dan recalls a friend of his who was shocked by short haircut with bangs that his wife got. "I had a guy friend of mine say, 'My wife came back and she got this Cleopatra haircut and all her friends are telling her it looks awesome ... and I don't think she looks good!' I told him, 'I'm glad we're talking about this now. Let's vent, let's talk, but let's not bring it up with her!'" Dan's tip for men in this situation? "Don't always tell the truth!"
