KITCHEN MAKEOVER

Rachael Ray Show

Viewer Eliza from Chicago gave her kitchen a shockingly different (and awesome) new look with just paint and vinyl plank flooring.

Painting Your Cabinets
“The best way to save money on painting is to stalk the “oops” section at your paint store,” Eliza says. “You can find great paint, usually close to the color you want if you wait awhile, for super cheap.”

Eliza just painted her walls and her cabinets, but notes that you should be sure to clean those cabinets very well with degreaser before you paint.

Installing Vinyl Flooring
This really couldn’t be simpler. Just unpeel the backing from the plank, and stick down! For extra interest, Eliza arranged her tiles in a chevron pattern.
