It’s not always easy to know the best haircut for your face shape -- but we just happen to be friends with celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, so we've got you covered in that department!
A viewer named Colleen has thick hair and a round face shape, so Chris gave her a cut that just touches the shoulders with plenty of layers and texture.
“We want to keep it sexy and keep it loose,” he says.

First, he took away some of the length, keeping the top layer a little longer.
“With thick textured hair, if you take your layers too short, you’re going to be struggling with styling,” he explains.
He cut the hair into what he calls a “deconstructed shape,” then brushed it out with a long bristle brush. To finish, Chris, who is a paid spokesperson for Color Wow, spritzed in some Color Wow “Raise the Root” for volume and flexible movement and finished off with “Pop & Lock” (a shine treatment) through the ends.
