When Rach got to catch up with star of new film "The Hate U Give," Russell Hornsby, she was especially happy to chat about a topic near and dear to her heart: grandparents.

Rachael grew up spending lots of time with her grandpa (who she calls her best friend), and as it turns out, Russell Hornsby had a special relationship with his grandmother, who passed away at 96 years old.

Rach got chills hearing about Russell's grandmother who raised six kids on her own (!). After her sixth child graduated from college, she went to college herself and got a degree in childhood education at age 50. What an inspiration!
