Playing Espresso At Home For Less Money: We Tried A Handheld Espresso Maker

Most of us are working from home these days, which means like us, you're probably trying to find ways to get your coffee fix without having to buy a latte every day.

We tried a portable espresso maker to see if it's possible to make espresso coffee at home or on the go without an espresso machine.

Product: Cafflano Kompresso handheld espresso maker
Claims to be a compact and affordable alternative to a traditional espresso machine.

Watch Kate, one of our associate culinary producers, test the handheld espresso maker and hear her thoughts in the video above.

"It also can be very easy to make your own latte at home without a big machine," Kate says. Here's how.

In a small saucepan, gently heat milk. Be careful not to overheat or scald your milk. Remove saucepan from stove and use an immersion blender to froth the milk until foamy. Gently pour over a shot of espresso and enjoy!
