Real marble countertops look gorgeous in any kitchen — until they're covered in stains, that is.

Luckily, chef Geoffrey Zakarian has a smart solution. Here's how to clean your marble countertops and remove stains using just soap, water and flour.

Fill a large bowl with soapy water, add flour and mix until it thickens into a paste. Use a rag to paint the paste onto your marble countertop. Then, apply plastic wrap over the top and leave for an hour to overnight. Remove the plastic wrap, wipe down the counter with a damp sponge and the stains will come right out.

Watch Geoffrey demonstrate how well it works in the video above.
