'Blindspot' Star Jaimie Alexander on Set Injuries, All Those Tattoos and Cooking on the Road

Jaimie Alexander of NBC’s suspense hit “Blindspot,” who grew up with four brothers and was on her high school’s female wrestling team, likes doing her own stunts, and even recently hung outside of a helicopter to shoot for the show. But lately, one pesky injury keeps tripping her up (literally): “I keep breaking the left side of my foot. Six times in a row! It’s a running joke now.”

Jaimie describes “Blindspot” as a mix between the movie “Memento” and the “Bourne Identity” franchise, and her character’s full-body tattoos are a huge part of her storyline as they might hold the secret to her true identity. The faux tats take a whopping 7-8 hours to apply, and Jaimie jokes, “There’s a lot of coffee and a lot of nudity involved.”

Although she kicks major butt on TV, you may not have known that Jaimie also loves to throw down in the kitchen – even when she’s traveling for work. Check out the video below to see her make a simple but extremely delish vegetarian chili:
