It’s the height of summer and that means blackberries are in season! No matter what kind of blackberry lover you are -- whether you have fond memories of picking wild blackberries, or if you enjoy grabbing a basket of blackberries at the market, or if you love spreading your toast with blackberry jam, we’ve got five amazing recipes you have to try!

No. 1: Dr. Oz's Total 10 Berry Smoothie

This healthful smoothie can be made with any combo of berries, but might we suggest you include plump, ripe blackberries? The drink features nutrient-dense berries, half a banana, vanilla almond milk, Omega-3 rich flaxseed oil, protein powder and ice, resulting in a cool and calorie-conscious summer beverage.

No. 2: Brie en Croute with Pistachio & Four Berry Sauce

To make this wow-worthy appetizer, Rachael starts with a quick sauce of blackberries, blueberries, strawberries and raspberries, featuring a bit of sugar, salt, and Grand Marnier to maximize flavor. She then lines a half sheet of store-bought puff pastry dough with a circle of chopped pistachios, and tops with a one-pound wheel of Brie, wraps the Brie with the puff pastry to fully cover, and bakes for 50 minutes. She serves the Brie en croute with the berry sauce on the side. So simple but so elegant!

No. 3: Summer Berry Pudding

This summer berry and bread pudding is super easy to assemble, and makes for a picture-perfect presentation.

No. 4: Blackberry Sangria

Rach’s husband John is a cocktail master, and he devised this drink as an alternative to the typical citrus and grape red wine sangria. He first muddles mint and blackberries, then adds thinly sliced plums and limes, a quarter cup of St. German liquor and a bottle of rose wine. Yum!

No. 5: Guy Fieri's Blackberry Jalapeno-Glazed Pork Tenderloin

Guy’s Blackberry-Jalapeno Glazed Pork Tenderloin really takes advantage of that sweet and tangy blackberry flavor, balancing it with spicy jalapeno. First, he brines a pork tenderloin for a short 20 minutes, then he crafts a multi-layered marinade that features chunky blackberry preserves, roasted jalapeno, garlic and red wine. He then grills his tenderloin to a beautiful, rich brown crust. Yum!
