Family-Friendly Food Project: Snowman Pizzas
There’s nothing kids love more than snow days. But how do you keep them entertained when you’re housebound?
One clever mom from Jamison, Pennsylvania, corrals them into the kitchen to make these adorable snowman pizzas!
Using baking trays for building, her foodie foursome stretches the dough into circles, laying down small rounds for the head, slightly smaller ones for the middle, and large ones for the bottom half of Frosty’s floury body.
All pizzas need sauce and cheese, of course, but you can go to town when it comes to decorations...think baby carrot noses, and two eyes (and rows of buttons) made out of sliced black olives.
Crank the oven as high as it will go (around 450-500F), stick your snowman pizzas on the top rack, and cook until the crust is brown and crispy, and the cheese is melty and bubbly; about 15-20 minutes.
Besides being delicious, these seasonally inspired pizzas are snow much fun!
