• A couple tablespoons ham drippings (whatever you have left in the pain)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup strong coffee (eyeball it)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons mustard or maple syrup (optional)


Serves: About 1 cup


To the pan with the ham drippings, add the coffee and mustard or syrup (if using).

Cook about a minute or so to combine the flavors. Serve over biscuits, ham, grits and eggs.
