• 1 bottle of reasonably good red or white wine
  • Fruit such as any citrus, plums, pears, peaches and apples, cut into slices
  • 2 liter bottles of club soda, or citrus-flavored seltzer


Serves: 4-6 servings


Just before serving, top off each pitcher with the club soda. Scoop a little of the sliced fruit into each ice-filled glass before pouring.

A few hours before serving, fill 2 pitchers with the sliced fruit. Add half a bottle of wine to each pitcher.

Muddle fruit (aka mush the fruit around) with a wooden spoon to distribute the fruity flavors all through the wine. Set aside.
