Ingredients

  • 8 ounces dark chocolate
  • 1 quart of milk, divided
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 dozen store-bought churros

Yield

Serves: 4 servings

Preparation

Place chocolate and 1 cup of the milk in a saucepan over low heat and cook until the chocolate has melted. Dissolve the cornstarch in the remaining milk and then whisk that into the hot chocolate. Whisk in the sugar and continue to cook over low heat, whisking constantly until the chocolate thickens, about 5 minutes. Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and serve with the churros.
