Ingredients
1 box chocolate (or devil’s food) cake mix(plus ingredients indicated on the box, such as eggs and vegetable oil)
2 tablespoons espresso powder
1 can chocolate frosting
1 tablespoon Frangelico (hazelnut liquor) or 1/2 cup hazelnut spread (or both!)
Chocolate covered espresso beans
Yield
Serves: 8-10
Preparation
Prepare cake batter according to package directions. Combine espresso powder with 3 tablespoons of hot water and mix into batter. Bake the cake in two round cake pans. Remove from oven and let cool.
In medium bowl, mix frosting with Frangelico and/or hazelnut spread.
Frost cake with Frangelico frosting and decorate with chocolate covered espresso beans.
