7 Recipes to Bring to Your Friendsgiving Party

If you’re celebrating Thanksgiving with friends this year, and want to impress the gang, read on for seven mouthwateringly delicious recipes, from the turkey to the sides!

No. 1: Whiskey-Brined Spatchcock Turkey

Rachael soaks this delicious bird in a cider, brown sugar and whiskey brine for two days before cooking. She cooks the spatchcocked bird flat (click here to learn how to do it yourself), which reduced the cooking time to as little as an hour! Right before it’s done cooking, Rach slathers the bird with a whiskey brown sugar glaze. Heavenly!

No. 2: Emeril Lagasse’s Wild Mushroom Bread Pudding

This stuffing-esque savory bread pudding is a great way to break from the ordinary and wow your friends!

No. 3: Emeril Lagasse’s Cheddar, Bacon, Apple, and Pecan Spoonbread

This fluffy savory corn pudding featuring cheddar, bacon, apple and pecans is a real treat for the Thanksgiving table.

No. 4: Carla Hall’s Cooked-to-Death-Delicious Green Beans with Potatoes

Carla cooks potatoes in a bath of onions and chicken stock until they are done, then adds green beans and cooks until they are soft. Then, she removes the veggies to a platter with a slotted spoon, reduces the sauce until thick, then pours over the platter. Yum!

No. 5: Carla Hall’s Spicy Cranberry-Apple Relish

This flavorful twist on cranberry sauce will have your friends begging for seconds! Carla simmers cranberries and apple with chiles, onion, brown sugar, red wine, lemon zest, and more for a mouthwatering relish.

No. 6: Jeff Mauro’s Pecan Praline Thrice-Baked Sweet Potatoes with Maple Chili Butter

This dish is super easy and amazingly delicious! Jeff just microwaves the sweet potatoes, scoops out the inside, mixes with an egg, then refills the potato “boats.” He then tops with a pecan praline topping and puts it back in the oven to finish. When it’s done, he tops with rounds of homemade maple chili compound butter. Amazing!

No. 7: Jeff Mauro's Roasted Broccoli with Asiago and Pine Nuts

Jeff’s casserole features roasted broccoli, pine nuts and Asiago cheese cooked in the oven until the top is crispy. Delish!
