- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 teaspoons coarse salt
- 1 teaspoon dried onion
- 1 teaspoon dried garlic
- 6 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
- 3 scallions, chopped
- 6 hot dogs
- 6 slices bacon
- 6 hot dog buns
- 1 tomato, sliced and quartered
- 1 English cucumber, thinly sliced
For the Everything Bagel Seasoning, in a small sauté pan, add poppy and sesame seeds, salt and dried onion and garlic. Toast over medium-high heat until fragrant, only a minute or two. Remove to a bowl and let cool.
In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese with the scallions; set aside.
Wrap each hot dog in one slice of bacon, securing the bacon at each end with a toothpick. Heat a grill to medium heat; once hot, add the dogs and cook until bacon begins to render and crisp up.
Place hot dogs in buns and slather with the scallion cream cheese. Place some sliced cucumber and tomato on top and then give it a big sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning.
Note: Leftover seasoning can be stored in an airtight container for a few weeks.
