Playing How to Make Homemade Cold Brew & More Trendy Recipes

I walked into a coffee shop in New Orleans late one morning on vacation and I quickly realized that spiking your iced coffee was a thing they did there (not to mention, you can take it TO GO!). It was a fun way to kick off a Saturday spent walking around that beautiful city, but it’s also a fun way to kick off a boozy-brunch party!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Irish whiskey, such as Tullamore Dew or Jameson
  • 2 cups cold brew coffee or strongly brewed hot coffee, chilled
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup
  • 2 cups milk or coconut milk creamer
  • Cocoa powder, for garnish
Yield
Serves: 8-10
Preparation

Fill a large serving pitcher with ice and add whiskey, coffee, simple syrup, milk or coconut creamer. Stir with a large spoon to combine.

To serve, pour into ice-filled cups (plastic if you’re being New Orleans-authentic) and shake cocoa powder over the top.
