Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces blanco tequila
- 1 ounce grapefruit juice
- 1 ounce rosemary simple syrup*
- 1/2 ounce lime juice
- Champagne or Prosecco, for topping
- Rosemary sprig, for garnish
- Whole cranberries, for garnish
Yield
Serves: 1 cocktail
Preparation
Fill a cocktail shaker 3/4 of the way with ice. Pour the tequila, grapefruit juice, simple syrup and lime juice into the shaker and shake for 30 seconds or until the outside of the shaker is frosty. Pour the liquid into a tall glass filled with ice. Top the drink off with some champagne and garnish with a sprig of rosemary and a couple of cranberries.
*For the simple syrup, place 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar into a saucepan. Add two sprigs of rosemary and bring the mixture to a boil. Turn off the heat and let cool. Remove and discard rosemary sprigs. Keeps in a jar for up to two weeks.
