- 8 to 10 ounces freshly brewed hot coffee
- 2 ounces coffee liqueur, such as Kahlua
- 2 ounces tequila
- 3 ounces heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- Ground cinnamon, for garnish
Fill 2 Irish coffee mugs, tall mugs or glasses with hot coffee a little more than halfway. Add in coffee liqueur and tequila. Stir well.
Whip cream using a hand mixer until it’s somewhere between liquid and whipped cream—you want the whipped cream to be loose and pourable. Add sugar and whip another few seconds to combine.
Hold a teaspoon over the top of a mug upside down. Slowly pour the whipped cream over the back of the spoon (it should float on top for pretty presentation!). Repeat with the other glass. Garnish with a pinch of cinnamon.
