Ever catch yourself scrolling through your Instagram feed and suddenly a gorgeous picture of food stops you in your tracks? From avocado toast to unicorn rainbow swirl ice cream, it’s a great place to keep up with the latest and greatest food trends, like this one here:
SO pretty, right?! It’s posts like this that inspired these two sweet, colorful and almost-too-pretty-to-eat recipes below.
(We said “ALMOST.”)
Galaxy Doughnuts

First of all -- doughnuts. They’re incredible as-is, but now they’re out of this world (and easy to make)! And by “make,” we really mean go to the store and pick up a box of your favorite doughnuts. (Don’t worry, your secret is safe with us!)
Once the doughnuts are in hand, make a simple glaze using powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Divide it up into four different bowls and add a different color of food coloring to each one. Take a bigger, clean bowl and make a design in it using the different color glazes. Then dunk your doughnut in, swirling it around slightly, and pull it out to reveal the prettiest darn doughnut you ever did see!
Dust with some edible stardust and we dare ya to not drift off into outer space!
No-Bake Unicorn Cake

What’s better than a unicorn cake? A pretty unicorn cake that you don’t have to bake, that’s what!
“Trust me, I’ve seen some crazy ones on the internet, and this one is a lot easier to do!” says Jeanette.
Jeanette took store-bought pound cake (the store is your friend here, guys!) and added colorful layers of sorbet! Frost with some whipped cream and top with rainbow sprinkles and ice cream cones for one magical, majestic cake!
