This double chicken cheeseburger with OUR special sauce—with mayo, relish, ketchup, sugar, vinegar + onion powder—is Big Mac-inspired, of course.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground chicken or turkey
  • Canola oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • ½ cup mayo
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons dill relish
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 4 sesame seed buns, toasted
For topping:
  • Sliced pickles
  • Minced white onion
  • Shredded lettuce

Yield

Serves: 4

Preparation

Heat a grill to a medium high heat.

Divide the ground chicken or turkey into 8 equal portions and make them into patties that are as thin as possible. Drizzle on each side with some canola oil and season liberally on each side with salt and pepper.

For the sauce, combine mayo, relish, ketchup, sugar, vinegar and onion powder in a small bowl. Season with ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper.

Place the patties on the hot grill and cook for 5 minutes. Flip and cook for 5 minutes more. Top each burger with cheese then place another patty on top to make 4 stacks of 2 burgers.

To build burgers, place lettuce on the bottom buns then top with a stack of burgers, a few pickle slices, some minced onion and a little more lettuce. Put a good smear of the sauce onto the bun top buns, set in place and serve.
