This is an amazing way to serve garlic knots at a party. Not only are they super-tasty, they're fun to pull apart, retain heat well and can be prepped ahead. Just throw them in the oven twenty minutes before your guests arrive.
Pro Tip from Daphne: You can also freeze these and bake them straight from the freezer when needed.

Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease a baking sheet.
In a bowl, combine salami and garlic.
On a work surface, unroll the pizza dough, then cut crosswise into 12 pieces. Working with 1 piece at a time, roll the dough between your hands to form a 7-inch-long rope. Tie each rope of dough into a knot and place on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the knots with the egg and sprinkle with the salami mixture and coarse salt. Bake until golden, about 18 minutes. Arrange on a platter and serve.
