Playing How To Make John's Blackberry-Ginger "House Call Mocktail | John Cusimano

John created this mocktail for his friend—and fan!—Dr. Ian K. Smith, who doesn't imbibe but wanted in on the fun: "I don't drink alcohol at all, never had a drink in my life, but John's cocktails are always some of my favorite recipes on the show. They all look SO good!"

Try pairing this refreshing drink with Dr. Ian's healthy and delicious recipe for Honey Soy Glazed Salmon or Rach's Phò.

  • 3 or 4 pieces ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 5 or 6 blackberries, plus more for garnish
  • 4 or 5 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 ounce light agave
  • 3 or 4 ounces club soda
  • Sprig of mint, for garnish

Serves: 1

In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, muddle the ginger. Add blackberries and muddle. Add mint leaves and muddle. Add lemon juice and agave, and shake well with ice. Double-strain into an ice-filled rocks glass and top with club soda. Stir gently and garnish with mint and a blackberry.
