Ingredients

  • 1 pound store-bought or homemade pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, optional

Yield

Serves: 4

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375°F. Prepare a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Divide pizza dough evenly to make 16 pieces. Roll each piece into a 4- to 5-inch length, then tie into a single knot and place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough. Drizzle 1 tablespoon olive oil evenly over the knots and season with sea salt. Bake until lightly golden, 15 to 20 minutes.

In a small saucepan, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil and the butter over medium heat. Add garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley. Cook gently until it foams and sizzles, 2 to 3 minutes, lowering the heat as needed to keep the garlic from browning. Set aside.

When the knots finish baking, immediately transfer to a serving bowl, add the garlic butter, and toss to coat. Serve warm.
