Ingredients

  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups bourbon
  • 2 cups brewed coffee, preferably chicory coffee, cooled
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg, plus more for serving

Serves: 6

Preparation

Whisk together the milk, half-and-half, sugar, vanilla, bourbon, coffee and nutmeg in a bowl.  Cover and freeze until slushy, about 3 hours.

Stir and serve in chilled glass mugs or tall glasses, topped with a grating of nutmeg.
