Rach's husband John created this summery cocktail to pair with Rach's Whisky Wings, which are made with bourbon—and an Old Fashioned is a bourbon-based cocktail.
"This spritzer version has the vibe of an Old Fashioned, but it's not this big, heavy drink—it's a light, sparkling drink!" he says.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ ounces bourbon
- ½ ounce simple syrup
- A few dashes angostura bitters
- 1 large orange wedge (about ¼ of an orange), plus 1 orange slice, for garnish
- Club soda or seltzer
Yield
Serves: 1
Preparation
In a collins glass, combine bourbon, syrup and bitters. Squeeze in the juice from the orange wedge. Add ice, then top with club soda. Stir, then garnish with orange slice.
