Playing How to Make Spiked Hot Chocolate Hazelnut Mudslides | Sunny Anderson

Sunny Anderson makes an irresistible adult treat: whiskey-spiked hot chocolate flavored with hazelnuts, cinnamon-sugar + crushed chocolate cookies.

Pro Tip from Sunny: In place of the hazelnut-flavored liquid creamer, feel free to substitute your favorite flavor, like pumpkin spice, or just use plain heavy cream.

Can't get enough chocolate? Be sure to check out Sunny's new show on Food Network, Chocolate Meltdown: Hershey's After Dark, which was taped after hours at the legendary Hershey Park amusement and water park in Hershey, PA.

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup hazelnut-flavored liquid creamer
  • 8 ounces milk chocolate morsels
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon sugar
  • 2 ounces whiskey, such as Woodford Reserve
  • Chocolate syrup or hot fudge topping, for garnish
  • Crushed chocolate sandwich cookies, for garnish
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Finely chopped toasted hazelnuts, for sprinkling

Serves: 2

Add the milk and creamer to a medium pot and heat over medium-low heat until warm. Add the chocolate morsels and cinnamon sugar and whisk to melt the chocolate. When everything is blended and warm, whisk in the whiskey and remove the hot chocolate from the heat.

Moisten the rim of 2 mugs with chocolate syrup or hot fudge and coat with the crushed cookies. Drizzle more syrup or fudge inside the mug and add the hot chocolate.

Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of hazelnuts.

Always Drink Responsibly.
