Ingredients

  • 2 ounces reposado tequila
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur (John likes Cointreau)
  • 1 ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 ounce fresh squeezed orange juice
  • ½ ounce agave syrup
  • ¼ ounce chipotle paste or sauce from canned chipotles in adobo
  • Ice
  • 1 bar spoon or dash grenadine
  • Orange twist, for garnish

Yield

Serves: 1

Preparation

In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, orange juice, agave syrup, and chipotle paste or sauce. Add ice, shake and double-strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Drizzle grenadine slowly over top and garnish with an orange twist.
