This Incredible 15-Year-Old Baker Is Fighting Child Food Insecurity From His Home Kitchen

15-year-old Michael Platt, owner and chef of Michaels Desserts + founder of the non-profit P.L.L.A.T.E. (Power, Love, Learning + Access To Everyone), is using his love of baking to help fight food insecurity from his home kitchen. For every dessert purchased from Michaels Desserts, Michael gives one away to someone in need. With P.L.L.A.T.E., Michael provides healthy non-perishable snack packs to food-insecure children.

"Just give what you can," Michael says. "If you could do something big, then do something big. But if you can only do something small, then do something small."

Our friends at Nature Nate's Honey Co. want to make sure Michael has more funds to keep P.L.L.A.T.E. going, so they're donating $5,000. Keep up the amazing work, Michael!
